Over the years I have organised a series of in-depth seminar with one or more top name professional investors to discuss their current thoughts on developments in the financial markets – what is moving prices, the stocks and funds they like, the risks they see and so on. I back up these interactive Q and A sessions with a run through of all the major asset classes. Where are they trending? What looks overvalued and what looks cheap? Which investment styles are working currently and which are not? These these exclusive invitation-only seminars are held in an informal but comfortable venue in the heart of central London. Subscribers to The investment Reader enjoy priviliged entry at discounted prices to all these events. You can also register and pay on an event-by-event basis.

Fast growing small company shares are notoriously under-researched, but can be a fruitful source of returns if you have the courage and the skills to pick the right stocks. Giles Hargreave and Mark Slater, two of the most successful small cap fund managers in the UK, will be discussing how to pick winners and describing their favourite holdings. Giles is the CEO of stockbroking firm Hargreave Hale and the manager of several award-winning small cap funds, including Marlborough Special Situations. Mark Slater is the CIO of Slater Investments whose Slater Growth fund consistently reappears among the top performers in its sector.
