Notebook: Reflections on Warren’s bet

Regular readers will know that I became a bit of a Warren Buffett bore back in the early 1990s and have never really relented. I make no excuses though for returning to the subject, looking at his latest letter to shareholders in which he updates the scorecard on a longstanding bet about whether hedge funds or a simple index fund would produce the greater return over a ten-year period.
